Introduction
Denver has become a huge hub for good coffee and local roasters, but people still seem to struggle to find the perfect spot. This list will show you my favorite coffee spots in Denver/metro area with the best vibes for studying, spending time with friends, and overall great atmosphere. Check out my other top 10 lists for cool Denver spots!
Hello Darling - Commons Park
In the number one spot, (well deserved) is Hello Darling! From a wide ranging menu that starts as coffee in the mornings and switches to cocktails in the evening, it's the perfect place! Not to mention the spacious lounge they have including a huge variety of seating. Benches, couches, bar tops, benches, low tables, you name it! Any time you visit: weekday, weekend, morning, afternoon, or evening; you'll be comforted by the atmosphere and the magic of Hello Darling. They also have a newer, second location in the Highlands area that you must check out!

Little Owl - Populus
This unique spot is located in the lobby of the stunning Populus hotel. Their coffee menu features some of the most unique seasonal flavors you've ever dared to try. Little Owl has multiple locations in Denver, however this one is the best of them all. With additional seating up a grand staircase of the hotel, you'll find an elevated space. Their lounge includes plenty of natural lighting through all of their specially shaped windows, many cozy seating options, and space to gather with friends! And just as a tip, you should definitely check out the bathrooms. They're as stunning as a bathroom can get.
Ms. Marji's
For a more "home away from home" energy, you have to visit Ms. Marji's. located in the old Taggart home. To continue her grandmother's legacy of traveling, and her love for hats, the owner decorates the house with eclectic decorations. When you arrive, you'll find a coffee trailer outside of the house where you will place your coffee order. Then head inside to explore and tuck into the coziest corner you can find! They will bring your order right to you. You can feel the love and legacy pouring out of Ms. Marji's every time you step foot in the door.

Velvet Lasso
This cafe is a new addition to the coffee scene in Denver and might I say, they are making their mark. When people say "attention to detail" Velvet Lasso understands better than anyone. As I said it is a new shop that's currently trending for its vintage vibes, western themes, and incredible menu offerings. But that also means it is incredibly busy. Most times of the day you'll find their lounge full if you don't get there at the perfect time of day. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go in and experience the vibes. Rumor has it that they will be adding an entire lounge side to the shop, which is under construction now! It won't be too long before this coffee spot becomes a Denver staple!

Flora
This stunning cafe is Hello Darling's long lost sister. It shares the same magical atmosphere and evergreen menu that swaps from coffee to cocktails in the evening. They also have plenty of picture worthy seating, fun events, and delicious snacks to share with your friends. If you love Hello Darling, then you have to check out Flora!

Scr3am and Sugar Coffee Co
This spooky spot is one that can't be missed! Connected to a horror themed gift shop, this cafe is a horror movie fanatics dream coffee place. From all of the cult classics being represented on their menu, beautiful lounge seating, and killer decorations (get it?), this is really a great spot. My tip: they currently have a red velvet whipped cream as an option on their seasonal spring menu. Ask for it on any drink of your choice and be amazed by how much it looks like brains. But go quick before the menu changes to summer specialties!
Lil Coffea Shop - Downing
Do you work overnight? Do you want to hang with friends after your evening shift but hate the bar/club scene? Are you looking for delicious food? For all of my insomniacs, Lil Coffea Shop is your new favorite coffee shop! They are open 24 hours, yes 24 hours! They also have a wide ranging menu with plenty of delicious coffee options, cocktails, mocktails, and food! They have lots of open space including bar top seating, couches, lounge chairs, low tables, and even a front patio with nice seating. At all hours of the day you'll see people studying, catching up with friends, playing board games, or just grabbing their morning coffee. They do have a smaller second location in Denver to check out that is also open 24 hours.

The Goldfinch
This underrated coffee spot is one of the best places to unwind and gather with friends. With similar themes to Hello Darling, the Goldfinch also offers a full bar as well as coffee menu. The star of the show however, is their seating options with a beautiful outdoor space, and plenty of indoor space as well. Stop in to the goldfinch and bring friends. They also have a DJ booth, and rotating events every night of the week. Check out their website to see what's happening tonight!

Hearth - Littleton
Hearth is a well known, beloved coffee spot in Denver that now has four locations across the metro area. Recently trending on TikTok was their new jar program where you purchase a reusable glass jar for $1 and every time you return it they'll take 50 cents off of your drink! You save money, and you help the planet. It's a win-win! Like I said, they now have 4 locations in the Denver metro area, but the Littleton location in my opinion is the coziest. In a tiny house just a short walk from downtown Littleton, you'll find elegant natural lighting, high tops, benches, and low tables with plenty of plug-ins around to ensure a successful study session!

Ti Cafe
Best known for their Vietnamese coffee, Ti Cafe honors their love for family, their Vietnamese roots, and anime! With cool decorations set up and some of the most delicious flavor combos you can find, they really tell a story with each visit. There's always a stunning rotating seasonal menu to check out. So keep your eyes peeled for their Instagram updates.
Conclusion
I really hope you enjoyed this ranking, and have the opportunity to give all of these spots a try! Let me know which one is your favorite or which one you'd be most excited to try and why!

I love this list!
These all look extremely inviting! But I have to say, the first one on my “must visit” list will be Ms Marji’s! I’m a sucker for touring old houses and hearing family stories! Thanks for the recommendations!
